Brandung

Last week on the 7th till the 11th of December, in one of the most popular malls in Bandung, was held an exhibition about branding the city of Bandung or as they called it "Brandung". This exhibition was held by FDGI (Forum Desain Grafis Indonesia) and was participated by Visual Communication Design students and professors in Bandung. My friends who represented our University, choose the theme in sign system and way finding in the city of Bandung as their city branding.
They proposed the idea that Bandung as a city where local and international tourist visits on their holidays somehow have difficulty in reading the way findings on arriving in the airport or entering the city via highway. So they've redesigned the sign system on spots that needed more attention for the right sign system. The main change was the welcome sign from the highway which they made it more attractive and eye-catching with fancy designs. They've also made a tourist map showing the way to hot places in Bandung with cute icons. This whole idea was inspired by the existing Bandung logo (.Bdg) as a creative city. More or less that's how I look when i should start some of my work for working the whole night. Usually i'm more active doing my work at night, so to add more energy i eat. And because it's hard to find some food when you're hungry at 2 a.m and you can't continue your work unless u have some food in your stomach, I anticipate it with buying some food before i start doing my work. I take a lot of time thinking what should i buy or what kind of food last longer or what food should i take-whether salty or sweet or even spicy. It becomes funnier when i realized that i spent a lot of time thinking about food other than my etc-activities. Do I worry about getting obese by food? Of course - who would not?!! Still, i couldn't get my eating right now it has been all messed up. Oh food.. is it me who is always hungry or is it you who hypnotize my mind?

Hectic Face

Rrrr... I thought i could rest from this hectic weekend but I guess it couldn't be done. Went to my parent's house and i tried to sleep and eat as much as i can to recover the lost since i've been staying up all night till 4am doing my work. still, i'm pretty sure that insomnia has regain it's strategical moves on me keeping me awake and not get that much sleep. Sure is such a drag to see my own face in the mirror looking like those evil witches, but instead of looking evil, it looked more like starving XD hahaha. Since it's the first week after the mid-terms, i guess i could take a small rest before another work comes in - yeah good luck with that.

Learning type anatomy

Hey guys, i thought i might share something informative for you lovely readers. This is one of my work for typography course and it's about type anatomy. As you all know, not only humans requires a study about the anatomy to see their functions, letters also have different function in their anatomy. Maybe you guys are curious or maybe not, or you would want to see it or not.. but anyways u SAW it HAHAH..
I hope it adds some new image in your head about letter anatomy, because really, nobody cares until they have to study it (especially for my dear juniors who are going to take typography course this semester, have fun guys!!).

One Foggy day

I found some pictures from my old cell where I took it on a foggy day in Miraflores, Lima, about a year or so. I guess i was jogging around the pedestrian walk while waiting for my brother playing skate. I like the sense when the day gets foggy, it's like you know the weather will get cold and you cant see a lot of things ahead of you. I always thought that would feel like if I was up in the clouds except for the warmer temperature xD. There wasn't a lot of people there, they'd rather cuddle up in their beds hugging their bunch of soft and warm blankets. and i prefer jogging around the cold weather, yeah right. I wished there were a coffee machine on the street to warm up because it wasn't enough to warm up my body by just jogging.
When it's warmer in the spring, i like to sit on the grass and look at the sun sets, but it wasn't my luck when i sat down and a security with a dog came by to say that i shouldn't sit there because it's dangerous and he was scared i might commit suicide LOL.
It's all i have to say about this place. Oh, one more thing, I dont like to sit on the grass quietly while suddenly a large dog came running to me.. really, dogs scare the effin out of me.

Freakiest book ever read!!

This is the most freakiest book I've ever read since I remember. I bought it for a dollar on an old bookstore on the street. I was just wondering what book to buy, either a buy a comic or a magazine to cut off the pictures. But then I saw this book, it was like hypnotizing me to buy it, and the skull on the cover really looks weird. I looked at the title that says "100 great fantasy short short stories" which I thought some magical stuffs and something more fairytale. When I started reading it, I realized that what they meant fantasy, is not just only fairy tales, but also ghosts, aliens, murders, sci-fi, djins, elephants that talks, Sherlock Holmes, hamlet ghost talk, vampire leprechaun and etc. The stories are very short, average of 2 pages, but the stories are frightening, and scary after you read it. It's not scary like when u read goosebumps when you're a teenager but how the stories ends freaks me out!! It takes me off the time limit to another space and time with a lot of supernatural things which gives me shivers.

I'm thinking what happen if the book has power over me which then tells me to kill people by reading the stories and then my soul got trapped inside the book which I have to make deals with the devil. Really scare the shit out of me, but somehow I feel like reading it moooore!! muahahahah..

The obsession,,, fashion illustration

I really see fashion illustration as a classy artwork. The use of exaggerating model poses with long neck, long legs and long arms makes it feel strong. The use of watercolor also makes it feel real with the material. I just love seeing colors in clothes LOL (what am I talking?). I'm not into that much in fashion, but I;m interested in the way they illustrate the fashion designs. So here are my sketches of fashion illustration.. but those are just study poses, I'm learning how to draw more type of poses oh yes and the faces which is my difficulty.. OH one more thing, damn those skinny girls.
