Why I love travelling part 3 - Time Travelling

National Museum of Indonesia (Museum Gajah)

At some point travelling to an old place or historical place makes you think that life has changed a lot. Imagining how civilization were at that time or the places that might have been uncrowded for a while. For me it's important that I visit those old and historical places, it's just another evidence that people before us lived with rules, ethics and philosophy that still is a part of our lives in the present. It helps us remember that we are damaging what has been build for hundreds of years. Those places are the landmark of the city, a "time machine" it is. :D

The Borobudur Temple
Hell of a tourist I am hahaha

The sidewalk of Braga Street, Bandung

I would love visit more places in Indonesia... it feels like I travel less inside my own country, I should be proud of the landmarks they posses. Still I feel Indonesia (government) is corrupted, I just hope that they wont destroy the "time machines" they have.

Why I love travelling part 2 - Miraflores

Sometimes in life, when you want to find who you really are, you try new stuff, go to new places, watch movies for references, listen to different kinds of music, dress-up, or just lie in the bed thinking about yourself. Well, I kinda do those stuffs LOL. But I really prefer going out to a new place and making it into my favorite is what I like doing. In Peru, I have one place that is still stuck in my mind, Miraflores. It's a district on the city of Lima, near the ocean. In Spanish "Mira" means "look" and "flores" means "flowers", so it's kinda like "look at the flowers", that city concept doesn't lie. They provided parks with colorful flowers and sometimes they decorate
it so that if you look from above, it will be like the lines of Nazca, cool.
As I am a tree person, I like hanging out in the parks. Normally about 4p.m I take my brother to the skatepark meanwhile I run some laps in the park. It was nice, and after that I would buy some snacks or coffee and go home. Too bad, in Bandung I couldn't find a nice park to relax and hang out ... (thus it makes me fat xD)

It's a falcon and yeas I'm scared of it. It took me a while to get that close to the bird. Before the sun sets, people come to this place and the falcon guy just put up a show :D

Parque Kennedy, in the heart of Miraflores where they put up shows of live music, sometimes exhibits work of art, sells churros, coffees, butifarra (yum ;p) and much more. This is a touristic spot where everything shows up for the people such as good expensive restaurants, dark cozy cafes, bars, starbucks, a departement store, merchandise and sourvenirs store and of course a meeting point. and not to mention the antique building of shops and cafes they have. Kinda of a nice but buzy park right there.. a lot of stuff going on.

Larcomar,
A mall by the sea it is.. how cool is that??! I love it here, and it's the place I hang out most with my friends, we usually hang out here to watch the surfers.. hot surfers passing by the surf shop hahaha... girls right xD. The have all those normal malls would have not so big, but enjoyable.. it's a semi-outdoor mall plus they have bowling in here :D

So, as many places as you've been, there will be a particular place where you have left your mind and heart in it. So good to have nostalgia... and I'm glad I've been there. Now, it's your turn...

Why I love travelling

It's visiting a new place with different kinds of streets, buildings, transportation and people which makes me feel that there's always something new to explore in this life. Recently I have been looking up old pictures of mine in my hard-drive and found out those pictures where in one time of my life, I feel fulfilled, happy, and exited of doing, which is travelling.
I have lived in Peru for over 3 years and by the lasts years of my staying, I realized that "Life is just one shot, read a book, make mistakes and travel". Well actually I didn't start the idea that I have to travel somewhere, but somehow there will be always "some" force that drags me to those places. With that, the eagerness will continue as I crave for more places to find. (Seriously, I don't know what am I talking about) Well here are the pictures I would like to share to you fellow blog-readers while travelling around Peru.

Macchupicchu, Jun 2007
The most memorable trip in Peru. Maybe because it's the furthest city (Cuzco) I've ever visited and have to take car, train, bus and on foot to reach to the Lost city. Or maybe it's the effect of the Lost City itself which I considered magical, yeah like a city on the peak of a mountain.. how in the world people at those times carried a tons of gigantic rocks to build a city. It's a magical place, too bad I wasn't listening good on the tour-guide, I bet Macchupicchu has a great story to live by.

Ayacucho, Nov 2007
My mother told I could use some help in playing the "angklung" in the group because they lack of members. And so we went on a show out of town and he we are in the mountains. It was a cold night though but we spent only a short time there, I couldn't see more place in there...but in the day, the place looked like a dessert IT WAS HOT AS HELL.. I'm a tree person, so I may not enjoy this part of the country. yeah, an ice cream would help.

Paracas, May 2008
An rocky island full with penguins and sealions, that's all what fascinates me. It's one of the preserving point in Peru with all these animals in the island. I don't recall much of the place but one thing I was interested was in that picture behind my cute head lies a sand-circle (oh, crop-circle sounds way better).. yeah they say some mythical creatures did it or some aliens which made it possible interesting to look at. here's the image shown below.

Punta Mar, 2008
My brother's school driver took us for a visit in this place. She said this place used to be the main point for the Peruvian Navy. Yeah, now that I recall it the place used to look like those on sailor's movie.. or those old war movies where the Navy set ships to fight in a war. It was a hot day too, and of course ice cream helped a lot ;D

Hmm.. that's it for now.. I'll post more later.. i just need a bath and it's raining outside which makes me feel cold and don't want to take a bath -____-
Stepping out. Over.
